Late 18th century antique neoclassical cylinder top desk.
The top with pierced brass gallery and mahogany obelisks. The cylinder top mechanism opens by pulling the desk top out. this reveals a gilt tooled leather writing surface with a tambour front compartment secret drawers and shaped interior in mahogany with ormolu mounts to columns.
When closed the desk has three shape front drawers to the curvaceous bombe shaped body. The leading edges with ormolu mounts and sabot scroll feet.
A substantial high quality desk for the collector of fine antiques. Desk height 79cm
