Georgian blonde elm bureau desk 1790

Antique Georgian bureau fall front desk on chest in elm. Beautifully fitted interior 11 interior drawers in elm lockable single door. Secret drawers within. Original turned white knobs and escutcheons. The drop front desk opens with a steel key to reveal a writing surface of w 111cm D 63 cm and at a convenient height of 75cm. Below the fall front are four drawers three with brass handled drawers with ivorie bone inlaid escutcheons and brass locks. The top drawer complete with working steel key to drawer, flanked by brass knob mounted pull out desk top supports. Campaign style construction.
