Solid oak refectory table, often called a sidebord, with solid 2 plank top and ornate carved baluster shaped legs. This 16th century original table is original with pegged construction and lovely rich patina. An oak drawer fitted below the top may have been added in the early 1800's and has a gorgeous solid bronze handle.
Antique original tables such as these are very rare were usually made transport friendly from townhouse to country house and needed to be made to "flat pack" on a horse and cart.
