Pair French marquetry chests of drawers

Rare pair of French Louis XV rococo antique marquetry inlaid three drawer serpentine fronted hallway or bedside chests known as a petit commode. Each drawer is pulled open with bronze handles and has original locks with an ornate cast key . The shaped sides with quarter panel inlays in satinwood . Raised on elegant cabriole legs with brass sabot feet and canted corners. The tops with shaped marquetry inlay is an elegant touch to such a versatile small chest of drawers. Ideal for a hallway console lamp table or even bedside cabinets. French early 20th century in the 18th century manner.
