Antique very rare and impressive Biedermeier period tilt top dining table from the famous Vienna workshops of Joseph Ulrich Danhauser (1780–1829)
The top with radiating veneers in ebonised satinwood tilts up to save valuable space in small antique Viennese apartments. Raised by a very elegant trumpet shaped facetted column base with ebonised accent mouldings.
The original drawings for this type of table are available from the archives in the Mak, Museum of applied Arts in Vienna, Austria.
The table could also be used as a centre table and would comfortably seat up to 4 persons in luxury.
