French Louis XV rococo desk 1750

Ornately carved French 18th century solid cherrywood desk. A rectangular top with well carved 3 drawers with ormolu handles with ornate twin pedestals flanking the centre. Each pedestal door with its own brass lock and key and ornate barrel hinges. The public side of the desk with carved ornate panels and marquetry inlay. The whole raised on carved cabriole legs. A good polished patina finish with solid cherrywood top completes this gorgeous provincial desk. This is an 18th century provincial trunk that started its life as a ornate wedding chest converted to a gorgeous desk in the 1900's
