Biedermeier marquetry chest drawers

Antique Empire three drawer chest of drawers in pale mahogany with marquetry string inlay and inlaid demi lune panel in theAncient Roman manner. The smooth design heralds the later Art Deco period with simplicity of design elegance at its core. Each drawer opens with a key and working lock. The drawer fronts and top with satinwood string inlay. The top drawer with three internally fitted compartments and two marquetry and brass handled lids for all those treasures. Raised on bracket feet, this chest retains its original patina and finish, all in good condition. Swedish circa 1900
