French antique rosewood bombe chest

An antique marquetry inlaid two drawer serpentine fronted hallway or bedside chest known as a petit commode. Each drawer is pulled open with an ornate key . The bombe shaped sides with quarter panel inlays in satinwood and fruitwood. Raised on elegant cabriole legs with brass sabot feet and bombe shaped corners. The top with serpentine shaped palisander or brazillian rosewood marquetry and ebonised moulded edge. An ideal chest for a hallway console lamp table or even bedside cabinet. French early 20th century in the 18th century manner.
