Swedish Empire chest of drawers 1825

A classic Swedish Empire mahogany chest of four drawers. The upper drawer with a moulded ogee form front whilste the lower three drawers of graduating sizes each with original working locks and key and quarter veneers of highly figurative mahogany. A square section moulding applied around the whole body highlights the elegant shape of the upper drawer. Below this are three full width drawers, again each with a fully functioning steel locks. A key is also supplied. All drawer runners and glides have been well serviced so they open very smoothly. North german or Swedish 1825
