Tall mahogany mirror of the late Empire period Post Horn inlaid with original silvered glass, a value point. The two panels of mirror surrounded my well moulded mahogany frame with square cabuchon details. The top of the mirror with a Chapeau de gendarme pediment featuring the most unusual marquetry inlay in cherrywood.
Traditionally these horns were the well recognized sign of the postman announcing that mail had arrived.
