Elegant blonde Empire writing table 1810

German made, English Regency inspired, 1810 Biedermeier mahogany sofa writing table with 2 full depth fitted drawers to apron and fold down extensions. table is double sided with dummy drawers on the opposite side. Clearance below drawers is 60 cm . Wonderful original patina pale blonde mahogany top and mahogany veneers with intricate inlays and ebony string and fruitwood details. Raised on two lyre shaped form supports in the Regency manner with sabre leg supports terminating in brass claw feet. Original patina and finish circa 1820, German or northern Europe. Leaf extensions +26cm each.
