A large French antique Medici campagna shaped urn or mantle vase with well shaped flared bowl and fitted handles.
The vase top resting on ornate four sided pedestal base with bas relief panels.
Originally this large cassolette urn or vase would have been displayed as a mantle urn or for the centre of a table as it is finished all round. It may have contained bouquets of hand made silk flowers adorning an ornate fireplace.
This urn is superior in quality compared to the vases signed Mignon and of much finer detailed carving to the casting mould.
