Antique patined heavy vintage Japanese sculpture of a bull signed solid bronze the symbol of strength virility and determination This finely worked and chiselled bronze statue with a burnished antique bronze patina. This is a one off casting using the traditional lost wax technique. The Yokai ox or bull is a powerful figure with burnished horns and depicted in heavy set muscular stance. The lovely colour and weight of this statue at 1.5kg with the signature stamp under the belly makes this a very tactile sculpture meant to be held in the hand to admire. Japan 20th century
