Empire chest of drawers 1810 Inlaid

Antique Empire three drawer chest of drawers in flame mahogany with marquetry string inlay and inlaid demi lune panel in the Ancient Roman neoclassical manner. The smooth Empire lines herald the 100 year later Art Deco period with simplicity of design elegance at its core. Each drawer opens with the key and working lock in teh minimalist push pull manner. The drawer fronts stepped facade with satinwood and ebony inlay. Raised on tapering feet this chest retains original french polished patina and finish, all in good condition. Denmark Empire circa 1810
