Antique Gothic Georgian period English oak trunk chest with fine carved gothic arch and crown tracery with fler de lys crest cartouche , 18th century . The cassetted panel top with ornate wrought and tooled iron hinges of fine quality work indicating a noble houshold origin. The case with linen fold carved oak panels to the sides and superb quality fine carved oak gothic tracery panels to the front. Good waxed polished finish with oak pegged joints of the period.
