A jewel of a small painting, capturing Australian artist Margaret Olley drawing in Centennial Park in Sydney. The artist is painted at work 'en plein air' by her fellow painter and great friend Margaret Cilento. The two artists often holidayed together as students in Europe. Later in life, Cilento would often stay at her house in Duxford Street, Paddington. This is an unusual work that shows Olley working outside.
