Margaret Olley: Lunch in Paddington

A lovely pen drawing of famous Australian painter Margaret Olley making lunch for actress Diane Cilento & playwright Anthony Shaffer at her home in the Hat Factory, Duxford Street, Paddington. Olley cooking in her kitchen was captured by her childhood friend and colleague Margaret Cilento. The two artists travelled through Europe together and while Olley returned to Sydney, Cilento went on to study in New York, Paris and London. Today, Cilento's work in held in major public and private galleries around the world, including Qagoma, Ngv, Australian National Gallery, Nsw Gallery. See more below:
