Original antique watercolour of Culloden Moor signed Edw '85 for Edmund Wimperis 1835-1900 framed & under glass dated (18)85 The Cullodon Moor were noted for the Battle of Cullonen that took place in 1746, near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. The tranquil and romantic landscape with grazing cattle and various farm folks following a well trodden path. Signed in monogram lower right : E M W '85.
