Italian low chest of 2 drawers cassone

Antique rare Italian Serpentine front 2 drawer low chest with ornate bronze handles raised on claw feet circa 1840. The french polished concave shaped top over two shaped front drawers raised on carved claw feet. Each drawer with flame mahogany front original locks and a working key. The mahogany surface retains its original french polish a value point. The height is original and quite rare for a chest and is similar to an Italian Renaissance Cassone with its firm feet placement. A perfect low chest for the hallway or bedroom and is ideal as stylish Tv stand. Italy mid 19th century
