French Louis XVI desk chair fauteuil armchair in carved walnut abd sage green velvet seat late 19th century. The well shaped curved back and arm rests with padded upholstery. The seat with spring support for extra comfort. Nice and sturdy these types of armchairs are usually used in front of a bureau plat writing desk with its elegant back swept armrests allows you to get really close to your work. Good seat height of 46cm is ideal for modern comfort. The vintage velvet has some bruising from shipping but is all complete and may be brushed up again. French Louis XVI circa 1890
