Very good quality mid- to late-Victorian tripod wine table. It has a striking burr walnut top with scalloped edge which is polished on both sides. The tilting top is supported by a hexagonal moulded column and gothic-inspired tracery informs the shaping of the legs. The existing finish may be original, or at least wear consistent with long-term use. Some very minor bumps present on the veneered top and the underside bears an early exhibition catalogue sticker. A pleasing example of gothic revival.
