Regency metamorphic Reading Table 1820

Antique Regency Reading Table with sliding top book rests and ratched height adjustable 1820 Original french polished mahogany with flame mahogany. The top with a fixed section and two opening book stands with adjustable ratchets and removable brass book rests. This metamorphic table has its original crank handle with two worm screws to enable strudy height adjustment and sideways adjustment. The facetted column support to platform base raised on four turned bun feet that hide the brass castors that make it easy to move around. An English early 19th century engineering marvel.
