Antique Austrian Biedermeier Empire window seat hallway bench sleigh ends blonde walnut 1820's Good original shellac patina finish. Solid blonde walnut construction nice and sturdy with only minor signs of wear consistent with age and character. This type of antique window seat would have graced the formal salon to a fine home and are ideal as hallway seats or end of a bed bench. The elegant and light sleight end design would have been made to be placed in front of a long French window or in an alcove. The shallow depth of only 34 cm is ideal for hallway or end of the bed seating.
