Antique blonde satinwood writing Desk two drawers on turned brass cup ceramic castors 1860. Rare solid satinwood top with georgeous blonde wood grain with applied back gallery edge and shaped moulding edge. Two drawers below the top with original turned satinwood and brass knobs in the Regency manner. Raised on elegant turned satinwood legs with brass cup castors and white ceramic wheels. French finish polished on three sides so this can stand against the wall of back of a settee. Most small desks, the castors allowed the desk to be easily moved around the room to catch the daylight.
