Vernon Deschamps is a pseudonym name used my Scottish born artist James Swinton Diston born in Edinburgh 1857. He studied and exhibited at at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Academy. He migrated to Australia in 1886 where he prospered until his passing in 1940.
