Large Original early 18th century oil painting of Saint George slaying the Dragon presented in later gilt frame
Painted in the early 18th century and in the manner of the baroque era, the golden helmet Saint George is pictured on his white horse with spear in hand whilst the green dragon crouches below. The princess who was to be the dragon's next victim is praying for Staint George's aim to be true and not to miss his target.
This is an orignal painting almost iconic in its execution and is on its original stretcher.
