Important pair of Art Deco 1920's armchairs each signed by H Goldman Melbourne of superb quality.
Utilising the finest figurative Australian timbers Goldman produced furniture of the highest quality. These armchairs are made of fiddleback blackwood and came from his South Yarra built factory in 1928.
The ususual upward curved backs, the elegant scroll armrests and turned column supports to stepped tapering legs have all the hallmark of the quality of Harry Goldman. Each chair is meticulously crafted in solid blackwood and bears the brass plaque under the seat rail of Goldman Melbourne.
