Austrian Empire chest of drawers 1810

Large Imperial Austrian chest of 3 drawers in solid oak with Empire bronze handles escutcheons and working key to top drawer lock, circa 1810. An elegant chest of drawers that still retains its neoclassical Empire elegance. The original polished shellac patina to the solid oak rectangular body. A top drawer with ebonised finish and two lower drawers flanked by half column pilasters. The chest is raised on carved lions paw feet to front. The height of just 76 cm is very useful as a sideboard or console table. All drawers open very smoothly as drawer runners and have been serviced waxed.
