Antique French Louis XVI sofa with superb carved watergilt gold leaf details and sage velvet upholstery early 1800's with hand sprung support for extra comfort. The superb quality of the carving indicates this was made for a very wealthy Parisienne houshold and in the manner of George Jacob who was the master cabinet maker for King Louis XVI in the late 18th century.
