Marble top coffee table with 2 drawers

Vintage neoclassical solid fruitwood centre Coffee Table with ebonised details and solid ornate marble top. Superb quality stone top with cut moulded edge with ornate natural figuring in original condition. This top is raised ona fruitwood base with massive solid tapering legs in the neoclassical French Directoire style of the 1790's. Fitted with 2 drawers at opposite ends with bronze handles. Good original waxed patina finish all round. The marble lifts off the base for easy transport. Tables of these proportions did not exist in the 18th century hence this bespoke made example
