1780 French writing table Louis XVI desk

Original antique 18th century French Louis XVI centre table writing table original marquetry inlay and deep drawer with lock and a working key. The elegant form an inlay banding of contrasting ebony and satinwood bordering the top and the front drawer. The drawer with glit bronze ormolu handles and escutcheon. Raised on fluted tapering legs with bronze sabot feet. A perfect table for the centre of a room or grand salon. Good original polished finish with minor marks consitent with age and use. Nice and sturdy construction. The drawer opens very smoothly. Clearance under drawer 61 cm.
