French rococo writing desk bureau plat

Antique French Louis XV style writing desk with three drawers ormolu mounts ornate carved legs 1830's. The solid mahogany top with shaped gallery side and back with turned corner finials. Three shaped front drawers below the serpentine shaped top with ornate ormolu bronze handles and escutcheons. All drawers open very smoothly and have functioning locks. A steel key is supplied and used to open the centre drawer. The ornate acanthus scroll legs are beautifully carved. the desk is finished all round so it can stand in the centre of a room.
