French walnut baroque writing table desk

French Louis XIII antique walnut writing desk with deep drawers on baroque carved walnut legs traditional pegged construction . The solid blonde walnut top with elegant edging over a sturdy baroque table base that features hand carved corkscrew legs with turned stretcher joint all pegged in the usual 18th century manner. A full width deep drawer is fitted to the apron and opens with the traditional push pull key in cast iron. Lock and key are original and work. Period baroque tables in this pale walnut colour are very rare. Original waxed polish all round to stand in the centre of a room.
