Tall bow front pedestal cabinet inlaid

Antique Danish mahogany tall cabinet with bow front single door and drawer. The ornate marquetry inlaid satinwood acanthus scroll panel at top echoes the larger inlaid panel to the drawer front below. The single door opens with a key and reveals 3 shelves all with original polish. The door is inlaid to the centre with a marquetry panel depicting Diana or Artemis goddess of the hunt. Below the door is a marquetry inlaid drawer that opens with the same key in the minimalist Empire manner. Pier cabinets such as these were placed between windows to hold aloft a bust, clock or statue.
