Superb quality French Empire solid mahogany bureau plat writing desk with five drawers raised on taper legs 2nd half of the 19th century the solid mahogany top with elegant curved gallery to three sides. Below the desk top are five drawers. Thecentre one opens with the original lock and key and is flanked by the two further drawers all are large enough to hold an A4 folder of files. Solid gilt bronze knobs and escutcheon key holes to mahogany framed drawer fronts. Raised on elegant taper legs this gorgeous desk is polished all round with good legroom clearance of 60cm below drawer.
