Gilt ormolu Rococo clock French Louis XV

French rococo heavy gilded bronze parlour clock adorned with a cherub and in beautiful original condition. A glazed watch glass door covers the hand painted enamel face with roman numerals and gilt brass hands. In good original working order the two train movement with silvered bell strike. A watch glass door covers the back of the clock mechanism. The mercurial gilded also known as fire gilding to to the process used with lots of real gold applied to bronze chased case is in excellent condition. The quality of the gilding is original and superb.
