Original copper plate etching "Botany Bay Welcome" by Geoffrey Ingleton Geoffrey Champan Ingleton 1908-1998 was a maritime historian and hyrdographer. He joined the Roayl Australian Navy and rose to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander. He built an important Australian reference library . His passion all thinks maritime led him to recreating historican scenes with famous ships. This engraving of Hm Bark Endeavour at Botany Bay near Kurnell where Captain James Cook first landed and was met by an Aborigine welcome. Mounted and framed under glass Signed and numbered.
