Tall French armoire bonnetiere wardrobe

French Louis XV carved oak armoire with single door ornate brass hinges and escutcheon. The moulded top over a tall single curved door that opens with a steel key. Original brass hinges with ornate finials. The interior is vast with dimensions : H186cm . W 71 cm . D 46cm. There is a lift out shelf and hanging rail at height 151cm. Good original waxed patina is a value point. Traditional pegged construction raised on elegant escargot scroll carved feet consistent with 18th century furniture traditions. Armoire of this size are usually called bonnetiere and are highly sought after.
