French Empire desk chair in solid mahogany with gilt tooled comfortable seat and wrap around back . Paris circa 1820 Raised on carved and turned reeded legs typical of French Charles X period design. The ergonomic seat with springs for extra comfort and good seat height of 51cm . The wrap around back supports the spine nicely and has the matching vintage leather with gold tooled edging. original french polished patina. A good sturdy chair.
