This superb maritime painting is of the Glasgow built Changsha, a steamer clipper that transported passengers from Hong Kong to Australia.
She was built at Scotts Greenock in Glasgow for the China Navigation Company London in 1886. She was a 2,269 gross tons single screw steamship clipper with 2 masts rigged for sailpower.
In 1912 she was sold to the Australian Oriental Line Sydney.
