8 French Empire fruitwood dining chairs

Set of 8 blonde fruitwood French antique Empire dining chairs with carved back design pegged construction suede upholstery . The elegant curved backs with palmette carved back splat. Raised on sabre rear legs and turned front legs all with traditional provincial 18th century style pegged construction. All chairs are good and sturdy and the seats are the correct height for modern requirements at 48cm high. The suede like material with brass hob nailed finish. Each chair is stamped under the back splat rail "226-4R" Priced as a set of 8 French 20th century in the Empire manner of 1810
