Rare English oak Tudor era refectory table with massive carved oak pedestals and lift off plank top in solid oak.
A very rare and beautiful Tudor oak dining table raised on traditional carved pedestal base with solid oak turned balluster supports. Each pedestal with pegged joints and beautiful patina.
The massive oak plank top is 5cm thick and has in the last 100 years been restored and re-polished. Pegged construction with some marks to surface consistent with age and use.
In true Tudor tradition this table would have been called a side bord, ie a long table for the serving at a banquet.
