French marquetry chest of drawers inlaid

A vintage French Louis XV antique style marquetry inlaid three drawer serpentine fronted hallway or bedside chest known as a petit commode. Each drawer is pulled open with ornate bronze handles and has an ornate brass key to working locks. One key is supplied. The shaped sides with quarter panel inlays in satinwood and Brazilian rosewood. Raised on elegant cabriole legs with brass sabot feet and shaped corners. The top with shaped marquetry inlay is an elegant touch to such a versatile small chest of drawers. Ideal for a hallway console, lamp table or even bedside cabinet.
