Treasure chest hand painted trunk 1816

Provincial painted pine dome top chest ornate iron bound trunk working wrought iron lock handles. A rarity is that this chest retains its original wrought iron lock and original working key . Still retains its original ornate wrought iron corner clasps and other iron hardware. The interior features the ornate iron hinges and duck egg blue finish. There are two vintage 1950's lift out boxes inside for easier packing. The original trunk with large wrought iron carry handles to each end. These trunks are usually referred to as Wedding chests.
