A Scandinavian four drawer flame mahogany late Empire or Biedermeier chest of drawers. The flame veneered top with cross banded edge in flame mahogany with an original french polished finish and original patina in very good condition. With rare turned column supports to body this is a neoclassical design is ideal for the bedroom or lounge room. The top drawer with ogee shaped front in flame mahogany. This rests over two middle drawers set back into the frame of the body and flanked by two full turned columns. A deep lower drawer below at bottom. All drawers open very smoothly
