Empire mirror Chapeau arch top 1820

Original Empire wall mirror in flame mahogany inlaid in string satinwood circa 1820. Well designed with architectural scroll " Chapeau de Gendarme " pediment. The flame mahogany surface inlaid with satinwood marquetry stringing. An arch top cartouche with replaced vintage mirror glass. The large mirror insert with original glass. This original mirror glass is a value point as the glass was usually far more expensive, due to technical limitations at the time than the frame that surrounded it.
