Antique provincial Swedish hand painted Mora longcase grandfather clock model with a replaced mechanism.
A rare miniature apprentice piece or traveling model of the traditional grandfather longcase clocks. It is only 73cm tall.
The tall case is shaped in pine with the traditional feminine shape and is decorated in a provincial farmhouse hand-painted floral design on wood. It is a waxed finish in the Gustavian late 18th-century manner and dates circa 1910
Rounded drumhead top hollowed out for a barrel-shaped pendulum mechanism of about 8cm diameter. Fitted with modern working mechanism.
