Northern European Empire period armchair with carved scroll arms and needlepoint seat The well carved sturdy mahogany frame with original french polished finish. An elegant curved back in the Regency manner with carved rope twist or trafalgar back is supported by shaped uprights to sabre rear legs. Carved elegant scroll shaped armrests to straight seat rail with curved front. A large sized drop in seat is covered vintage petit point wool work seat. The seat lifts off the frame if you wish to recover in your favourite fabric. Raised on turned legs with out swept carved front feet.
