Big gilt wood carved rococo wall clock

Antique gorgeous water gilt carved wooden wall clock. The ornate carved birch wood case with hand applied 24 carat gold leaf in bright burnished and satin finish in the 18th century Rococo manner. The clock face with original convex glass door covering the painted clock face. Two ornate hands in gilt brass tell the time form the 8 day mechanism ( wind once a week) . A lovely chime bell tells the hour count. A small glazed window below displays the polished brass pendulum movement. Swedish early 20th century in the 18th century Gustavian manner.
