Large 8 arm chandelier carved gilt wood

Antique Provincial French Louis XVI eight arm chandelier in hand carved fruitwood with hand painted patinated bronze finish. Complete with suspension cup in carved wood with bullion wire fringe and tassel covered hanging rod. Carved wood arms emanate from a carved ornate central column in the baroque manner comp with acanthus scrolls. The candles are hollowed out in timber with faux wax finish fitted with standard small screw globe fittings. As with all hard wired light fittings it will be necessary for your licensed electrician to certify it is safe when installing it. French 1930
